Soil and Ecosystem Researcher - University of Manchester
Angela is a post-doctoral research associate in the Soil and Ecosystem Ecology lab of the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences in the University of Manchester. She is currently researching the role of plant roots in soil carbon sequestration and is particularly interested in linking this to soil health in the face of environmental stress. Angela completed her PhD in Soil Biochemistry at Wageningen University in The Netherlands after receiving her MSc in Land Resource Science from the University of Guelph. Her PhD work led to several publications on using soil carbon quality as an indicator of soil health and disease resistance. Angela grew up on a dairy farm outside on Arnprior, Ontario.
