Owen Wally

Owen Wally, PhD, is an innovative field crop pathologist at Agriculture Canada in Harrow since 2015, driven to help understand, protect and enhance Canadian agriculture against adapting diseases. Owen works on a range of pathogens affecting field crops, with a particular focus on sudden death syndrome and soybean cyst nematode. He has been a key contributor to innovative research in plant pathology, authoring over 30 peer-reviewed papers and 5 book chapters. Owen collaborates extensively with farmers and industry experts to develop sustainable solutions for pest and disease management, strengthening the resilience and productivity of Canadian agriculture
